Reed comes to the Schooners from the Blue Devils, where he played in only 14 games and started 5. Batting .167, Anthes had 4 hits with 2 runs and 2 RBI in his limited playing time. As a senior in high school, he hit .388 with 6 home runs, 55 RBI and 37 walks; earning all-region honors. Anthes also was named as the recipient of the Silver Slugger Award. Throughout high school, he never hit below .300 and drove in well over 150 runs in his career. A 4 year starter in high school, Anthes also won 4 straight national championships with the East Cobb Astros between 2007 and 2010. Reed is the son of David and Vicki, and the brother of Jacob and Nathan.
